Privacy
You are filming inside your home. Here is exactly what we do with that, in plain words.
What we collect
- From homeowners: the video you record or upload, a separate audio track of the same recording (for transcription), your ZIP code, project type, timing, optional notes, first name, email, and optional phone number.
- From contractors: business name, your name, email, phone, website, license number, trades and service area.
- Automatically: the browser type and the country of the request, for abuse prevention. We set no cookies and run no third-party trackers. If we add a privacy-respecting page counter later, it will not identify you.
What we do with it
- We show your video, transcript, first name, ZIP code and notes to at most 3 contractors we select for your post, and to the people reviewing posts.
- We transcribe the audio with speech-to-text software to write a summary. The transcript is stored with your post.
- We give your email to the matched contractors so they can send you a quote. We give your phone number only to a contractor you reply to.
- We do not publish videos, use them in advertising, sell them, or share them with anyone else. If we ever want to use a video for anything beyond matching, we will ask you first, separately.
Where it lives and for how long
- Videos and post details are stored on Cloudflare’s R2 storage in the United States, reachable only by the service and by an unguessable link that we send to matched contractors.
- We keep a post for 12 months after it is closed, then delete the video and audio. Contractor records stay while the account is active.
- Email us from the address you posted with and we will delete your post and its video within 7 days.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Reply to any email from us. This page is dated 2026-10-22; we will note changes here.
